Teaching style

My teaching style is rooted in thoughtful, developmentally appropriate practice and a deep understanding of how young children learn best. I believe in building strong foundations through intentional routines, clear expectations, and meaningful learning experiences that support the whole child. In my classroom and in the resources I create, I prioritize clarity, flexibility, and accessibility. I design materials that are easy to implement, adaptable for a range of learners, and supportive of both academic growth and social-emotional development. My approach values consistency, visual supports, hands-on learning, and opportunities for students to feel successful, confident, and engaged.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to serve in leadership and collaborative roles within my school community. These experiences include participation on building-level committees focused on PBIS, instructional technology, curriculum implementation, and school improvement initiatives. Some of my most meaningful “shining moments” come from collaborating with colleagues, supporting students with diverse learning needs, and creating systems and resources that make teaching more manageable and learning more accessible. I value growth, reflection, and continuous improvement, both for myself and for the students and educators I serve.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Spanish Education and a 4th/5th grade endorsement. I also earned a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Literacy. My academic background, combined with years of classroom experience, informs the instructional decisions behind every resource I create. I am especially passionate about early literacy development, intervention supports, and designing instruction that is responsive to student needs.
