About the store

Experience

I am a teacher for student's with Autism. I teach in a life skills and functional academic classroom. My students need intensive supports and typically display socially inappropriate behaviors. We work on a little bit of everything in my classroom! This is my 8th year of teaching and I'm loving every minute of it!

Teaching style

My goal is to always make the biggest impact I can with students. I am one who is up for a challenge and is willing to do whatever it takes to help students succeed. I tend to use a variety of small group instruction along with one on one instruction. I believe my students would describe my classroom as both challenging and fun!

Awards & shining teacher moments

Special Education Undergraduate of the Year award at the University of Missouri - Columbia for the 2012-2013 school year.

My own education history

I was always fortunate that school came pretty easy to me. However, I've always been very aware that this is not the case for everyone. After attending college at the University of Missouri - Columbia, I found a passion for helping others to succeed in their education.

Additional biographical information

Where does the name come from? My classroom number is "301". Throughout my building, this is commonly known and it is how people frequently refer to my classroom. We even have "301" T-shirts and lanyards. Going with this idea, I began to think of how cool it would be if I could create 301 different resources that would help other educators and students to succeed in school. This is my goal. 301 resources! It may take me awhile, but I'll get there!
