Do you have weekly vocabulary words that your students need to study? Here is a great recording graphic organizer for them to research the definitions and utilize throughout the week! I use this for our Wonders curriculum. Print off front and back. Students can record the word, then look up the definition in the glossary or dictionary. There is a place to record the story of the week so they can keep their vocab terms current.
Get to know your students quickly by communicating with parents through these student information sheets! One sheet asks for basic student and parent/guardian information. The other sheet asks for students' hobbies, interests, favorite things, strengths, areas of improvement, and goals that their family has. I like to mail this with my meet the teacher page! Find my meet-the-teacher packet that matches these sheets here! https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Meet-the-Teacher-Introduction

Sometimes it is good to let your parents know why state tests are important and why you work hard for their child to be successful. Here is a positive note that I like to send home right before our testing day. This just validates to families that the scores do not define their child, but they do help teachers and our school! You can buy this in my state testing bundle that includes other great communication pages for students and parents! https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/State-Testin
Here is a great way for students and parents to communicate flashcard practice at home! I use this for my student's multiplication practice. Students earn a carnival ticket for each signature. I draw a few names (sometimes all names) at the end of the week! The more practice = more signatures = more tickets = a greater chance at a little prize on Friday!
