Students will solve equations with given variables. The practice sheet includes some addition, subtraction, and multiplication problems. The first page can be used during instruction where teacher is modeling the content. The second page is for independent practice, and there is also a quiz to assess student's understanding. Key is included.
The questions are meant to be answered after reading the Reading Street Sleuth "Women in the Olympics." This is a nonfiction text in the Reading Street Grade 3 basal reader. The questions can be used to supplement the weekly assessment. This can be used as a Close Read assignment as well. The questions are in FSA format where students will have to find more than one correct answer for each question.
