This Wondering Wall set includes a title and speech bubbles suitable for adding sticky notes. There is one speech bubble each for 30 students. The speech bubbles can hold 3 sticky notes or 6 sticky notes that slightly overlap. Design your own App is used as part of an inquiry unit within How We Express Ourselves exploring signs and symbols. Begin by analysing different apps and discuss why apps can be easily identified e.g. simple colours, designs and styles. Children can chose 3 apps to redesign on the template. After exploring and redesigning other apps, they can design their own app on the template, which can be created as an artwork and displayed in the classroom. Visible Thinking Routine for use during or towards the end of a unit of inquiry. The connect section allows space for children to explain how the See Think Wonder connects to their learning.

This thinking routine encourages children to zoom in on particular aspects of a picture or photograph. It is important to only reveal one aspect of the picture at each stage so that the children can make inferences about what they can see. This is a template which includes a task that I've done to show you how it works. Firstly, do this as a whole class with a picture or photograph on a large screen. Only reveal one aspect of the picture or photograph at each stage, cover the rest. Discuss

Match up the Learner Profile attributes. Product contains: 1. A colour coded set for you to print and laminate for children's use. 2. A black and white sheet for you to photocopy that children can cut and paste to match the attributes. One set includes, 'courageous' and another set includes, 'risk taker'. This resource can be used individually, in pairs or in groups. A fabulous task to support children in learning the Learner Profile attributes using simple language.

This thinking routine can be used towards the end of a unit of inquiry to show how thinking has changed throughout the unit.
