Catapult Evaluate Assessments are long and hard for students. As a virtual teacher, sometimes students miss the test session or are ill and unable to take it on the scheduled day. Catapult Evaluate Assessment is tedious for students. Acknowledging small successes can take students far. Start simple with a quick image celebrating the completion of Evaluate assessments. Brick-and-mortar/virtual learning options include: presenting to whole class when done, adding to a slideshow, emailing a student an individual image, and more. Be simple. Make connections. This resource is intended to take text into a real-world connection for kids. We read without considering the fonts. A young early reader does not yet connect that letters can take on similar styles and mean the same thing. This resource can help introduce this concept in a fun way. They can read sight words with different fonts and/or find the words in real life example visuals.

These picture cards help create images in students' minds as well as encourage students to connect with the sight words by stating verbal sentences. Use the touch points to name each letter if needing to review unknown letters with a student or simply practice spelling them aloud.

This game board is set up to give the students an opportunity to interact with other players or teachers in a fun way while learning sight words. Enjoy!
