Here are two worksheets to help students practice and improve their dictionary skills! Included is a worksheet labeling a dictionary entry. Students could complete this to see what they know already about the parts of a dictionary entry, or have it in their INB as a resource. This is a half sheet, so it could easily fit in an INB. Do your kiddos do sustained silent reading? Use this log to keep track of student progress AND practice their questioning skills. Included in this is a SSR log and 9 task cards. Print them on colored paper and put them on a binder ring. Once students are finished silently reading, have them fill out their log and answer one question. Next time students read, have them answer a different question. Put it in their INB to keep it all in one place :) ENJOY!
