My name is Julie. I have been teaching elementary school for over 25 years. Teaching has always been my passion, as well as creating my own handouts and materials for my students.
This All About Me poster can be used in the beginning of the year, or at the end of the year to decorate the walls for graduation. My students and their families enjoy reading them every year.
I drew this groundhog to use for Groundhog Day. My students color in the groundhog, cut it out and then I put it on black construction paper. I have my students use white chalk/or crayon to shade and outline their groundhog so they can see the shadow underneath.
My students enjoy this activity in celebration of St. Patrick's Day. Students will cut and paste the Shamrock numbers in order from 0-20. This worksheet is versatile. Students can say, then color the shamrocks in number order 0-20. To differentiate, students can cut the shamrocks, glue and find it's match.
Students will color the hat alternating red the white pattern. The hat will be cut out around the edges and glued, taped or stapled on a sentence strip, etc. Printing on white cardstock is best. Enjoy!!
My students enjoy this activity in celebration of Dr. Seuss's birthday. Students will cut and paste the hat numbers in order from 0-20. This worksheet is versatile. Students can say, then color the hats in number order 0-20. To differentiate, students can cut the hats, glue and find it's match.
My students enjoy this activity around Valentine's Day. Students will cut and paste the heart numbers in order from 0-20. This worksheet is versatile. Students can say then color the numbers in order 0-20. To differentiate, students can cut the red number hearts, glue and find it's match.
This worksheet has been helpful for my students to practice writing their numbers 0-20. You can print it daily or use a clear sheet protector with dry erase markers for centers/morning work.
This writing piece I use every year with my kindergarten students. My students illustrate a picture in the thinking bubble to describe what their dream is. I also add their picture of them in their "thinking pose". My students love it! Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream. A dream for equality. I always tell my students about the courage and bravery for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to speak out for what he believed in, and they should not be afraid to have a dream of their own and speak out.
When my students begin learning how to tap out their CVC words or creating their own they were getting confused about the medial vowel sound. When I added the letters for the vowels they were able to see and understand it better. I print the worksheet and put it in a dry-erase pocket sleeve so my students can practice creating, sounding out and writing CVC words.
I created this Letter A worksheet to use for my Kindergartners by using my own font, composition lines and hand drawing my pictures without using clipart. Enjoy!
