About the store
I have taught special education (all subjects) in 7th and 8th grade for nearly 20 years. My students are often mainstreamed out for their elective classes that include Computers, Health, Orchestra, Art and Physical Education. The students attend Social Studies and Science classes with their peers. During these classes, I modify the work for all students to be successful. While in the resource classroom, we learn functional skills such as counting money, reading a menu, budgeting, cooking, etc. To compliment our functional learning, we take community education trips to the grocery store or to a restaurant to apply our skills learned in school. It is my thought that all students can learn when given the right opportunity and tools.

Fact Family Houses These are fun write and wipe task cards to enhance addition and subtraction fluency. Students will work on inverse operations and commutative properties. This is a Halloween-themed skip counting set of task cards. Students will be asked to find number patterns. They will determine the missing number in the sequence or the rule of the pattern.
There are a total of 24 task cards. 12 are filling in the blanks and 12 are finding the patterns.

Play-Doh Activities: Dinosaurs
Learn about Dinosaurs while using Play-Doh Have fun learning about different dinosaurs while using Play-Doh to make each one. There are full mats and task card box sizes. Teaching style
I am a visual and hands-on learner. When constructing my plans and units, I look at the "whole picture" and when finished have a 40+ page interactive presentation. Most of the material is presented on a SMARTboard accompanied with reinforcement tools such as interactive learning games, Osmo, experiments and peer to peer interactions to develop social skills and problem solving techniques.
I challenge my students with at-level content that is modified to their individual learning capabilities.
