My teaching style comprises of using outcomes based instruction to teach English language learners world history and other social science content. My projects and lessons center around project based student-centered learning in heterogeneously grouped students. Students learn via language and content integration, experiential learning that result in authentic project products, localized autonomy (focused on student voice & choice and equity), inquiry based exploration and discovery. Students are assessed using outcomes based rubrics aligned to the Common Core Social Studies Standards, Common Core Language Standards, and WIDA inspired language outcomes.
