Hi! My name is Timothy and I have experience tutoring one on one and in small groups. Teaching style
My experience in working one on one and in small groups has enabled me to witness the minute barriers students experience when interacting with math learning materials. To help mitigate the onslaught of students who need help breaking down abstract solutions to word math problems, I've developed a knack for creating tiered explanations. Today, I've created my own materials with a side-by-side format, designed with exercises corresponding to tiered demos that are user-friendly and student-centered. If you're overwhelmed with questions, or would like your students to self-pace themselves and build their critical thinking skills, give Think Like Math's word problems a try!
