I wrote this poem in 2020 in response to a memorable walk my three children and I went on one gloomy afternoon in our very first (of many) lockdowns here in Melbourne, Australia. A year of sickness, isolation, death, chaos, turmoil and utter disbelief at being thrust into this once in a lifetime debacle I decided was not going to be all bad. So I started, couldn't stop and now hope that you and your students can experience this mini unit of work of mine as a little pick-me-up amongst the doom
