Promoting information literacy through lessons that encourage students to become effective users of ideas and information. 2. Integrate technology into the curriculum, including maintaining a website with a calendar of daily student work, an FYI section that explains upcoming important dates and homework, an online discussion board, digital copies of activities, student grades, and online tutorials. 3. Implement constructivist philosophy of teaching into the classroom centered on facilitation of student-led activities. Authentic learning and assessment are cornerstones of my classroom. Program is based on a current and data-driven approach. 4. Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents encouraging availability and an open environment in the classroom. 5. Students are asked to read an article, view a letter to Eleanor Roosevelt, and analyze some interesting statistics related to the Great Depression.
