Teaching style

I'm a firm believer of experience is the best teacher. Although there are times for teacher directed instruction, we always need to give students time to question, think, and explore. Whether it is through hands-on learning, or unique methods of presentation, in today's classrooms, we have to fight to keep the not so fun skills of math, literacy, science, technology at the attention of our teens. Battling the screens and instant access of knowledge, we need to engage our students in critical thinking by differentiating our instruction and scaffolding our teaching so every student in our class feels engaged and motivated.

Awards & shining teacher moments

The best honor I have is the ability to open up the world to young people who want to learn.
