When many states added more time requirements for core classes, it became necessary to come up with systems to accommodate the reduced time in P.E. and music while engaging students in learning the moment they enter the classroom or gym. Here's a simple song for elementary school students to sing with their friends. "I'm Singing with Friends" has built in movement found in the lyrics. I originally wrote it for my granddaughter. (We sang it loud and clear.) It's meant to be a fun song to sing. I played a djembe while we sang with a type of rock beat. Adding any other rhythm instrument will just add to the fun.
