I've been teaching math since 2000. Over the years we've seen many wonderful achievements in our classroom. I'm thankful to have Teachers Pay Teachers as a platform for sharing the resources used to maximize student learning.
Learning how to add Integers is an important concept for middle school students. The Great Integer Race is a fun activity that will have the students moving around the room looking for their match. This activity is as quiet as it is engaging. My students ask to play it all the time.
Included in the download are teacher guidelines, class instructions, and a class set of Integer flash cards with matched problems ready for printing and laminating.

Experience
I've been teaching math since 2000. Over the years we've seen many wonderful achievements in our classroom. I'm thankful to have Teachers Pay Teachers as a platform for sharing the resources used to maximize student learning.
Teaching style
I love to have fun with competition. I usually add a competitive edge to any activity to keep the students on their toes. In the end everyone wins with fun activities that include important learning standards.
Awards & shining teacher moments
I hang my hat on the large improvement my students make on our annual standardized exam. I know we can't put too much weight on standardized exams, but you wouldn't believe how excited my students are when the results are mailed home.
My own education history
I have a B.A. in Math and an M.S. in Education. I don't put much weight in the degrees, I believe experience is more valuable.
Additional biographical information
I am married to a wonderful woman and have 3 children.
