I have been teaching for 9 years! I have taught 1st, 3rd grade and 5th grade in the states of Missouri, Kansas and California. I have also had experience working with K-5 in before and after school programming and volunteer roles. In addition to my education roles, I have worked as a curriculum developer for children's ministry content too! Student-Led Parent-Teacher Conference Slideshow | Digital Google Slides
Since our conferences are virtual again this year, I decided to have each kid edit this Google Slides Presentation that way I can display it to parents over Zoom for Parent Teacher Conferences. This gives kids the opportunity to reflect and share their input and also gives me something to put on the screen other than them just staring at my face for 15-25 minutes! Teaching style
As teachers, the worst thing we can do is make learning seem boring. The best thing we can do is ignite in students a curiosity and love of learning that surpasses our classroom walls and changes the world.
