Contains a 1-page student organizer to review the properties of compounds and metals determined by bonding type, including a space for illustrations. The purpose of this organizational chart is to help students understand that underlying chemical structures determine the function (properties) of materials. This set also includes a teacher "key" for the organizer.

This 1-page video guide leads students through the 9 minute video from Bozeman Science titled "Chemical Bonds: Covalent v Ionic". A key is included. This is a Word document so that you may edit as desired. I use this guide with my students as we watch and discuss the video together in class, but it could also be assigned as homework in a "flipped classroom" arrangement.

This is a 1-page guide to the Bozeman Science Video on "Metallic Bonding" with key included. The 4 questions (which include a table to complete describing the properties of metals) focus on what I considered the "big ideas" in the video. I use this guide as we "stop and start" the video together and discuss in class, but it could also be assigned for homework in a "flipped classroom" arrangement.
