About the store
I have worked as a teacher for the last six years in Alberta, Canada. I have experience teaching most grade levels but my primary experience was in grade 6 and grade 8. I have also worked as a Technology teacher. In my last teaching assignment I worked as a school based special education teacher.
I have had extensive training in guided reading and I have used the Daily 5 approach to guided reading in my classroom for a number of years.
I have also been trained to perform the Woodcock Johnson Academic test and the Key Math Assessment.

Teaching style
I am a firm believer in teaching by doing. I am not the type of teacher who lectures, rather my students are always constructing their own knowledge, questioning and seeking the answers to their own questions.
My own education history
I attended Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador where I attained two degrees. I have a degree in Archaeology and a Primary Education Degree.
