I created this product when our 2nd graders were required to compose a narrative procedure. This organizer will help you guide your students through the process of composing a 7-paragraph essay that includes: introduction, materials, procedures, and conclusion. It is a Word document, so you should be able to adjust the guiding questions and statements to your needs. I hope you find this useful.
This is a two-page file that will allow your students to make a four page/flap flipbook, detailing four steps need to make/do something. I am using this with my 2nd graders to explain how silk is made (Core Knowledge curriculum).
The first page contains the labels to put on each of the flaps of your 4-part flipbook (vertical/portrait). The second page contains writing boxes to go inside each flap.
**The font I used is ComicSans, regardless of what the thumbnail shows.**

A chart of key reading strategies used by students. The sreader is at the center of it all, using two types of reading strategies: strategies that allow them to sustain their reading by recognizing and fixing errors, and strategies that allow them to expand their comprehension of what they are reading. I plan to enlarge it an post it in my own classroom, as well as hand out individual copies.
