My own education history
I was bored in the corporate world, so I shifted my career into education - and I have never looked back!
I've completed a Bachelor of Education, TEFL, Master of Science in Innovative Education and Teaching, and I'm currently developing interdisciplinary curricula and curriculum development courses for REAL Education Co.
Additional biographical information
I'm a sucker for hard work when it makes a REAL difference... I forget what a social life is and hyper-focus on my latest project. Being neurotypical myself, I understand the struggles students with any 'differences' face in mainstream classrooms - and I also know how difficult it is for teachers to truly differentiate effectively when they need to meet curriculum standards in a very full classroom! I dream of making a REAL difference in education by equipping teachers with tools that really work - in all classrooms, providing resources that reach students on both ends of the spectrum (and everywhere in between), and just generally make classrooms effective places to learn.
Through integrated curriculum, I weave together subjects, cover content in context, and focus on application of knowledge... I can't stand 'busy work' and unnecessary assessments. If you resonate with this - join the adventure and let's explore the joy of REAL learning that transcends the textbook!
