There are two variations of this document. They are meant to help your students (and you) keep track of missing assignments and keep students accountable. They can also be used as reminders at the end of the semester for late work that students still have the option of turning in for late points.
In order to help justify both students' earned weekly participation points and to monitor behavior trends, I keep a behavior log. It's simply a list of my students' names and then at the bottom is a key with various acronyms that help me keep track of behaviors such as: electronic device violations, talking to others, not prepared, late, etc. It's very helpful to have a record so that I can look back and notice patterns that otherwise would go unchecked.
