I have been a high school math teacher for 11 years and have worked with students in everything from pre-algebra to college math. I have had the privilege to teach in California, Virginia and Louisiana and have written curriculum for a charter school system in Arizona. Algebra 1 Standards Poster - Student checklist
This poster is in the form of an Excel file and can be used by students and teachers to track progress.
The CCSS chosen are those adopted by Louisiana for Algebra 1, however, cells in the poster can easily be deleted or added for different standards.
This poster makes a great companion for the Algebra 1 Task Cards available in our store. Each standard in the poster has a set of Task Cards that correspond and can be used to assess understanding.

Teaching style
As a classroom teacher, I believe my job is to guide students toward discovery of math principles. This means asking more questions than I answer and inviting students to answer the "why"s and "how"s as they work through a topic.
