This assignment is designed to allow students to research a variety of water conservation solutions. Video links are provided for each solution. The students must analyze the merits of each solution by discussing their strengths and weaknesses. The students must then provide a plan for their own home, their high school building, and a poverty neighborhood.
This lesson is designed to have students think critically about the relative inexpensive nature of water. It also asks student to think about the following ideas: Should human citizens be charged for water? Should water be rationed for citizens? Should certain water activities (car washing) be banned?
