My own education history
I student taught in high school by teaching and learning from a 2nd grade teacher in the afternoons my senior year. I also student taught my entire senior year of college by earning an internship to teach at various grade levels in the fall (6th elementary, 3rd, & 8th ELA) and then 6th grade elementary in the spring. I got my B.S. in Elementary Education in 2012 with endorsements to teach ELA & Science in Middle School. I earned my ENL endorsement in Spring of 2014 and then earned my Master's of Literacy with an EL Focus in 2019.
Additional biographical information
My absolute favorite subject to teach is math, followed by science, writing, and reading. I enjoy hiking, biking, boating with my white Labrador and my husband. I hope to inspire students to persevere and find engaging ways to teach them skills they need to succeed in life.
