Use the following activity as a fun St. Patrick’s day lesson. The students will work on sorting, graphing, and adding while having fun with Lucky Charms as their manipulative. Print out the handouts for the Lucky Charm sorting page. Give each student a cup of Lucky Charms and have them sort according to the sorting page. When they have sorted their Lucky Charms have them count and fill out the Lucky Charms Graph. With their answers they can then do the Lucky Charms Adding page. Materials needed:

Use the following flashcards to make a hand on learning game. Cut out the flashcards with the ten frames. Turn them over face down. Cut out the number cards and have them face up. Have student choose two of the flashcards that are face down. Students will figure out how many All together and then find the corresponding number that is their answer. Use the next set of flashcards that have the number sentences on them the same way. Have students look at the flashcard and then either say the answer
