About the store
I was a 7th grade math intervention teacher for 4 years. My class was made of students who did not pass the 6th grade STAAR test their skills ranged from a 2nd-5th grade level. Throughout the year these students had 2 math classes and with my class I was supporting their learning in core math by tying in previous year TEKS that could help them build strength in basic math skills.

Experience

I was a 7th grade math intervention teacher for 4 years. My class was made of students who did not pass the 6th grade STAAR test their skills ranged from a 2nd-5th grade level. Throughout the year these students had 2 math classes and with my class I was supporting their learning in core math by tying in previous year TEKS that could help them build strength in basic math skills.

Teaching style

I focused more on the "practice makes perfect" ideology where I built students confidence with repetition of TEKs that can support them. I started with numbers that they had grown confidence in and then began to challenge students after they had shown success on the criteria before.
