About the store

I have been teaching high school science for nine years and have experience with a variety of science subjects. Currently, I work with the ESL department, teaching sheltered Earth Science— a scaffolded course designed to provide additional language support for English learners. I also teach an AVID section of Earth Science, incorporating WICOR strategies to support student success.

This is a resource I use to replace a traditional direct instruction lesson on Unit 5: Ecology in Earth and Environmental Science. These notes review vocabulary, levels of organization, abiotic vs biotic factors, biomes, nutrient cycles and human impacts. The notes are linked on slide 2. Please make a copy of the Google Doc, allowing editing if desired. The last three pages are practice ecology questions and a Biome Brochure activity.
