I am currently in my 18th year of teaching! I’ve taught preschool, 4th and 5th grades. My favorite is 4th!!! I've felt compelled to be a teacher since I was 10 years old, and I absolutely love my job!
So it's the 1st day of school and you have to explain a million procedures to your new students. You have all day to fill, you are scared you'll forget something really important and the students are starting to zone out.... This PowerPoint presentation is designed to go through the important procedures that the students have to know to succeed, with slides built in for brain breaks/activities. Don't mind that I incorporated my Bitmoji and personal slides! Make sure to include things about yo
Struggling with how to organize your ELA rotations/centers? Here is an EDITABLE slideshow that will tell students which rotation they'll be going to. I have embedded a 15 minute Youtube video onto each slide to help students (and the teacher) time manage! (which is easily changeable if you need a different time frame. Simply click on it, backspace to delete it, Go to Insert, Video, put in what kind of timer you're looking for, and click Select.) Hope this helps!
Motivate your students with a treat and a coordinating Star Wars themed tag! May the scores be with you!!!! Tags included with correlating treats: "Mint to do well, you are!" - Mints "Don't burst through your test! Take your time and be a star!" - Starbursts "You're on a roll!" - Tootsie Rolls "It's crunch time! Show what you know!" - Crunch bars
It's field trip day and you have all your students divided into groups with parent chaperones!!! But...you only have one first aid kit! Here's a label you can tape to a Ziploc and fill with the notated items. It's easy for chaperones to find what they need throughout the day and they appreciate having their own supplies! :)
Aren't Meet the Teacher Nights always crazy?!?! It's a sea of paperwork, new faces and frazzled nerves! Make things super easy for yourself and your new class parents! Customize this note and attach it to a manila envelope. Paperclip everything that needs to be signed and returned to the envelope, and put everything that needs to be taken home in the envelope. This product allows for a much calmer Meet the Teacher Night so you can focus on getting to know your families and students!
A full page of sign-in spots! A column for the student's name and parent/guardian's name! Simple and can be used for many different events: Meet the Teacher Night, Open House, Parent-Teacher Conferences, Curriculum Night, etc.
What do you give your Christmas-celebrating students before Winter Break? Kids get burnt out on goodie bags. I like to give a small gift each day! Here's a simple Google slides presentation that is EDITABLE to meet your needs to share with your students what they'll be receiving!
This is a form that shows exactly the consequences of misbehavior in student-friendly steps and language. This should be posted somewhere in your PBIS area. It is on Microsoft Word so it's completely editable.
This template of student data can help guide your conversations with parents during Parent-Teacher Conferences. They are 100% EDITABLE. Once you have the slide edited how you like, right click on the slide and press Duplicate. Keep pressing Duplicate until you have enough slides for all your students' data! Happy Conferencing!
Ever get side-tracked in a parent-teacher conference because there's SO much to talk about? This form will help you stay on track and provide parents with this feedback in writing. I use this in accordance with data binders and report cards, but they can be EDITED to fit your needs!
This is a form to present so students know what prizes they can earn with your PBIS point/dollar system. It is on Microsoft Excel so it's completely editable.
This is a weekly sticker chart to use for behaviors. Set specific goals and rewards with your students to "make their day!"
