I've taught 2 years in 6th grade, 2 years in 3rd grade, and now I'm entering my 2nd year in 4th grade! This past year was unique in that I looped with my class from 3rd to 4th. In all of these experiences, I have taught all core subjects.
Students will taste a fruit drink mix recipe that has been converted to a different sized batch. They will use error analysis to determine the mistakes made and why certain ones tasted differently. There is also a differentiated page to help struggling students structure their thinking.

These are two interactive notebook pages that give two strategies for rounding whole numbers. One strategy involves using a numberline to understand the visual aspect of rounding numbers, and the other strategy involves using the number to the right of the place to which you are rounding in order to identify whether to round up or stay the same. This was designed to align with Virginia State Standards of Learning for 4th grade Math.
