Upper Elementary Utopia

Most, if not all of us, know of the classic fall activity where we ask students to disguise a turkey in hopes that it won’t be eaten for Thanksgiving dinner. This resource takes the fun and creativity from the classic activity and puts an upper elementary twist on it! Students will be challenged (appropriately) to use figurative language while either providing background for the turkey to tell why they are disguised as they are or convincing the reader the turkey is not in fact a turkey.
