Do you have a class period that students go to different classes or locations, and the rest of your students stay in your homeroom? Keeping that organized is a safety concern, and this spreadsheet has an easy way to document that. You can easily fill in your students' names, and the names of the classes/room numbers they go to. Experience

I am a 6th grade math teacher beginning my 22nd year! I have worked over the last couple of years to breathe new life into my teaching style and create a math "thinking classroom" for my students. It is a work in progress and I am excited to share my resources to have you join me along the journey!

Teaching style

I have left behind the "I do, We do, You do" structure of teaching that focused heavily on lecturing, mimicking, memorizing and regurgitating to embrace a true math thinking classroom. I am a facilitator of learning, where I guide my students to question, think, collaborate, explore and arrive at a deeper understanding of math than I ever believed possible. It's truly like watching magic happen in the classroom!
