Teaching style

My zone of genius has been teaching and allowing my students to become the whole package. Learning the technique of various dance styles, learning about the history and vocabulary within these many styles and genres, teaching them how to analyze dance cognitively, verbally and written. I also teach my students how to collaborate and choreograph based on many contexts that can be applied in: poetry, various genres, storytelling, abstract and literal concepts, cultural commemoration. I teach Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, Step, Ballet, House, Dancehall, Salsa and Afrodances (Afrobeats and Amapiano) I would like to claim an authoritarian style: Teaching with the heart while keeping my mind on its structure. I allow my students explore to the fullest once they understand dance's many rules, skills and concepts. I love to see what my students can accomplish once I give them all of the tools.
