About the store
This is my 19th year as an education specialist, where I currently teach a Mild/Moderate TK-1 special day class. Before teaching this group, I roved my district as the Autism Specialist, supporting kids across the entire spectrum. Throughout my career I have written social stories, made token charts, and created visual supports for nonverbal preschoolers, fully included sixth graders, and everything in between. Teaching style

I believe an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! Using effective visuals sets the foundation for a successful school experience, for both teacher and student. I like to use color, creativity, and clear communication, both verbal and especially VISUAL, to create a warm, loving, and vibrant classroom community where each success is celebrated.

I received my BA in American Literature and Culture from UCLA, and my Mod/Sev Teaching Credential and M.Ed from UC Santa Barbara. I have training in Pivotal Response Training, ABA, Discrete Trial, TEACCH, and Social Stories.
