I've been in education for over two decades as a public school parent, PTA member, science & STEM teacher, curriculum developer, and author. I founded the award-winning GELL Project, a Green Roof Environmental Literacy Laboratory at PS 41 - The Greenwich Village School in New York City. I have represented the project in numerous media outlets, conferences, and other events. I authored "Kingsland Wildflowers Green Roof Teacher's Guide" and the children's book, "What Is a Green Roof?" which made Kirkus Review's Best Books of 2020 list. ​ ​

Teaching style

Project-based hands-on learning where students learn about environmental issues we face. Teams of students problem-solve, design, construct, test, and evaluate solutions.
