I have been a teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District since 1982.
In 2000, I became a National Board Certified Teacher by receiving a scaled score of 386 points (teachers needed a scaled score of 275 points to become certified.) I renewed my certification in 2009.
I have been a teacher-seller at TPT since July 16, 2009.
I am the creator of The Best of Teacher Entrepreneurs Marketing Cooperative. New and veteran TPT sellers work together to market their products so that all members can take their TPT stores to the next level.

After 36 years as a Los Angeles Unified School District teacher, I retired in 2018. My family, church, and community activities keep me as busy as ever.

Multiplication Game - 9 Game Boards
Students place one number card at a time on a game board to form a 2 digit X 2 digit equation. Once a number card is placed on the game board, it cannot be moved. The student with the highest correct answer wins. Students review multiplication as they use logic and problem solve to find the highest answer.

Teaching style
I truly believe that all students can succeed. I have the highest expectations for my students and I teach in a very strategic manner. I teach a particular skill using the smallest steps so that even my lowest students can understand the concept. At the same time, I always extend the lesson to keep my higher students motivated and challenged.
Awards & shining teacher moments
I received the "Excellence in Teaching" Award from the Los Angeles Unified School District and the Los Angeles Educational Partnership.
N.B.C News honored me with the Crystal Apple Award.
My Math Team won the first place trophy four times in the Los Angeles Unified School District's Math Tournament.
