This is my 8th year teaching online and my 12th year as a teacher. I have been in all types of classrooms. I started as a Special Education teacher in a small district so I was moved to whereever there was a high need. This gave me the unique experience of seeing all different types of grade levels and what was needed as support. As an online teacher, I have taught K-5th grade, again filling whatever needs we had at the time. I am currently back to my "roots" teaching special education online for grades K-4th. Teaching style
I am all about making the process easy for our students to understand. A lot of their anxiety stems from the unknown. If they know what to expect from us they can let down their walls. This is where they will soar. My teaching style is "work harder not smarter" as well as let's keep it simple. Let's not overcomplicate things. Kids need to know we care before they care what we know.
