About the store

Experience

I’ve been an educator for over 20 years, with a strong focus on supporting students with special needs. I currently serve as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) and am certified as a school counselor. My experience spans early childhood through high school, and I’ve worked closely with students who are visually impaired, medically complex, or in need of individualized learning support.

Teaching style

My teaching approach is hands-on, flexible, and deeply rooted in student-centered support. I believe in meeting learners where they are—whether it’s through tactile activities, accessible print, or social-emotional coaching. I design resources that are visually clear, low-prep, and practical for both special education and general education teachers.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Throughout my 20 years in education, the most rewarding moments have come from seeing students grow in confidence and independence. Whether it's watching progress unfold through small steps or celebrating major breakthroughs, I find joy in helping students overcome challenges and achieve goals they once thought were out of reach. Making learning accessible, meaningful, and empowering is what keeps me inspired every day.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master’s degree in School Counseling. I’m also certified as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) and am completing my certification in Orientation & Mobility (COMS). My educational journey has always centered around advocacy, access, and lifelong learning.
