Experience

I have taught in an Early Childhood Special Education classroom for students with autism since 2013. My classroom is typically composed of preschool students with some of the most significant communication and behavioral needs in the district.

Teaching style

I believe that the classroom should be an extension of the real world. All classroom activities should focus on helping students learn how to function outside of the classroom. I aim to make all learning experiences as practical as possible. To do this, I incorporate many visuals in my teaching and classroom management to help increase independence in my students daily lives.
