About the store

Experience

I teach fourth grade math and science at a public, Title I "turnaround" school in Dallas, Texas. This is my third year in the classroom and my second year coaching a FIRST LEGO League Robotics team.

Teaching style

Our classroom goal is 80% mastery of all 4th grade Texas Essential Knowledge and Standards (TEKS) in math! I aim to build my students as problem solvers by putting rigorous work in front of them and pushing them to think at a higher level.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Junior League of Dallas Grants for Innovative Teaching Recipient (2015)

My own education history

I graduated from Harvard with a degree in sociology in 2011 and am currently pursuing a master's of science in education with an elementary focus.

Additional biographical information

It's hard out there as a Texas math teacher right now! With the lack of resources to support the new TEKS, my colleagues and I were feeling like there were gaps in our instruction, so I decided to do something about it. My goal is to provide high-quality, low-prep resources for math teachers here in Texas to support the transition to the new math TEKS.
