I created these songs to help my students remember the definition of common prefixes and suffixes. The kids love these songs and I have caught them singing it during a test to help remind themselves of the meaning. If you teach prefixes and suffixes you HAVE to have these songs!

This is a fun inferencing activity that kids love doing. You will create 6 evidence bags with different objects. Students will be given a recording sheet and work with a partner to create what they think Coco and Grandmother did on their vacation. This is a great way to get students thinking about what could be happening with certain objects.

This can be put up in a word work center. Students will do the daily activity with their Words Their Way spelling words. You will need dry erase boards, timers, and highlighters.

This is a great introduction to adjectives or assessment at the end to see if they can list certain adjectives!

This is a Listen to Reading response activity. Students will listen to a book and then write their own "test questions". Students will have a partner answer their questions and turn in cards. Instructions included.

This can be used for a science research center to explore and compare rocks. Have students read books over rocks then have several rocks for them to choose from and use the recording sheet.
