Four calming breathing techniques to teacher students self-regulation. The four types include: rainbow, flower, snake, and five finger breathing. There are posters for each one as well as black and white versions for easy printing. I have used these with my preschool students and they loved them and use them frequently to calm down when they are upset.
This fairytale t chart compares two stories side by side. It is a great way to discuss with students the differences between two version of a fairytale. It includes comparing point of view, setting, who the hero is, and magic. This is how I used the worksheet with my first graders during our fairytale unit. There is a version that is blank so you can use it for any story and another that is ready for two cinderella stories to be compared.
This is a fun way to map out a fairytale on a castle design. There is a place go write the characters, setting, problem, solution, and magic. I used this with my first grade students during a fairytale unit. They enjoyed mapping out the information in this format and liked that they had to use only a few words to describe each element.

This worksheet is a space for students to write about what happened first, then, and last in the Cinderella story or any story. It is great writing and sequencing practice. It is also fully editable so you can customize it to the story you are reading. I used this with first grade students to help them think through Cinderella's story. I modified the worksheet for students who needed more support by adding a long sentence starter.
