Teaching style
My teaching blends rigorous academics with the creative arts to engage the whole child—mind, heart, and hands. Drawing on research-informed practice and Waldorf-inspired methods, I design lessons that invite students to think deeply, discuss meaningful ideas, and express their understanding through creative work.
I believe learning should be both intellectually substantive and genuinely engaging. That's why my resources weave storytelling, visual art, movement, and inquiry into strong academic content, giving students multiple pathways to connect with what they're learning. Lessons are structured to encourage curiosity, discussion, and reflection rather than rote completion.
My materials are developed within the context of British Columbia's well-regarded curriculum and are designed to be ready-to-teach and easily adaptable—whether you're in a public classroom, an independent school, a Waldorf-inspired setting, or a homeschool environment. My own education history
I hold a Master of Education with a specialization in Leadership, along with completed teacher training in Waldorf education. My undergraduate studies were in the human sciences and microbiology, giving me a strong foundation in scientific thinking that continues to inform how I approach inquiry and curriculum design.
Alongside my academic background, I bring years of experience as a professional dancer and theatre performer, and I currently serve as the Artistic Director Warmland Dance in British Columbia. This blend of scientific training, educational leadership, and lifelong artistic practice shapes the way I create resources—rooted in solid academics, enriched by the arts, and designed to engage students as whole human beings.
