Teaching style

At the heart of my teaching style is a passion for creativity, play, and exploration. I believe students learn best when they feel empowered to ask questions, investigate ideas, and take charge of their own learning journeys. My classrooms are flexible, hands-on spaces where inquiry-based projects, technology integration, outdoor learning, and the arts come together to create dynamic and memorable experiences. Every resource I design reflects this approach — encouraging curiosity, fostering collaboration, and building a genuine love for learning.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Throughout my career, I have been honoured to lead and contribute to several innovative programs within my school community. I have proudly led STEM initiatives and High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) programs, driven by a commitment to nurturing every learner’s potential. Alongside this, I was recognised for my work in leading literacy improvement, championing classroom innovation, and mentoring early career teachers. These experiences continually inspire me to create resources that are practical, purposeful, and grounded in real classroom success.

My own education history

I hold a Master of Teaching degree, specialising in STEM education, and have undertaken extensive professional development in areas such as STEM pedagogy, modelled learning, and inquiry-based instruction. My academic journey has been shaped by a strong belief in research-informed practice, and I am always seeking fresh strategies to create meaningful, engaging learning opportunities for students of all backgrounds.

Additional biographical information

Beyond the classroom, I am an avid reader, passionate about sustainability, and a firm believer in lifelong learning. Whether exploring new ideas through literature, engaging with the natural environment, or pursuing professional growth, I bring a spirit of curiosity and reflection to everything I do. These passions are woven through the resources I create, aiming to inspire not just learning, but a deep appreciation for the world around us.
