About the store
I named my store Waypoint Language Learning because I believe that learning a language is a journey. Along the way, we all need a stopping place—a “waypoint”—to reflect, recharge, and plan our next steps. My hope is that this store will support both English learners and teachers in their beautiful language journey. The store offers a variety of engaging, fun resources for English language learners, helping students become accountable and independent learners. It also aims to support ELD teachers by providing tools to expand their instructional strategies and enrich their classrooms.

Additional biographical information

I grew up in the Philippines and moved to the United States in 2015. Before moving to the U.S., I worked as an ELD teacher for five years. After arriving, I taught third and fourth grade for another five years, and I currently teach as an ELD teacher. As an English language learner myself, I understand the challenges students face when moving to another country—especially the struggle with language barriers. The impact of an ELD teacher on these students is tremendous, as we can help ease the difficulties they experience every day.
