Where should we park the car? How can a linear function describe the situation at each of 3 parking garages? How do tables help us organize the information? How do graphs help us see a visual of the information?

Students don't always see what we see? What do they see? Ask students to sort the line cards into 2 different groups. What are the characteristics of each group? You'll be amazed at what kids see first--it probably is NOT slope and y-intercept, but they will learn to tune in to these two key features.
