A great end of the year student activity that will allow students to reflect on the last year as they give upcoming students advice for a new year. My students always love writing letters for the next year's students, and the new students always appreciate the advice. I think this activity is great for community building and helps with any anxiety over a new school year.

This can be used as a lesson opener or as an exit activity to assess how your student is able to apply place value concepts.
