About the store
I started my education career doing non-traditional education at an AZA accredited zoological facility. While I was there I developed and ran a wide variety of educational programs for school groups and the general public. I then became a long term substitute where I worked in a wide variety of elementary school settings. As a long term sub I was responsible for all the same things as a full-time teacher including lesson planning and data monitoring. I am now entering my second year as a full-time teacher. I have taught as a varying exceptionalities educator serving students in grades K-5, self-contained 4th and 5th grade students with cognitive disabilities, and early intervention for students ages 3-5. After leaving the school district I have served as a graduate assistant for both undergraduate and graduate classes as well as lead professional development opportunities.

Teaching style

My teaching style varies based on my students need. I typically like to get the students involved in the discovery of new strategies to use but sometimes they just need it to be modeled and modeled and modeled some more.

My own education history

I received two associate degrees from Saint John's River Community College and my bachelors in Theatre from the University of South Florida. I also participated in an intensified alternative certification program through my district last year where I received my teaching certification. In December 2021 I completed my master's in rehabilitation and mental health counseling.
