Do you want students to reflect daily on their learning, behavior and goals? The time-to-summarize sheet is a formative assessment tool teachers in any subject can use on a daily basis to help students reflect and engage in learning.

Students will work with phrases and clauses to identify the parts of a sentence and to create new sentences.

My students needed to practice more paragraph writing and practice editing/revising the writing. I created this Warm-up or Time-to-focus sheet to help my students improve writing and language skills, as well as, reflecting on their learning.

Research using multimedia components. After you give a brief introduction on the Mayans, you can give this research component on why the Mayan Civilization fell. Students research using primary source documents, documentaries, as well as journal and magazine articles. After students find the evidence for the various theories, students paraphrase them in their own words.
