Experience

Hello everyone! Welcome to Wheelers Learning Wheels. I am so excited to have you here! My name is Carlee Wheeler and I’ve been teaching for 7 years, and I absolutely love helping students learn, grow, and feel confident in themselves. I’ve worked with kindergarten, 4th-8th grade students previously. My current position is 5th Grade Special Education. I enjoy creating classroom materials where everyone feels supported, engaged, and excited to learn.

Teaching style

My teaching style is all about keeping things engaging, supportive, and flexible. I believe that every student learns differently, so I try to mix things up—whether that’s through hands-on activities, group discussions, or using tech tools to bring lessons to life. I aim to create a classroom where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and be themselves. I’m big on building strong relationships with my students and making learning feel relevant and connected to the real world. At the end of the day, I want my students to leave class not just knowing more, but feeling more confident in who they are and how they learn.

My own education history

I studied Early Childhood Education and Special Education at Seton Hill. Then, continued my educational journey at the California University of Pennsylvania to receive my Masters with a Reading Specialist certificate. Since then, I’ve had the chance to teach in a variety of settings—whether it’s 6th-8th Learning Support, kindergarten, 4th grade reading, or my current position of 5th Grade Learning Support. I’m always exploring new ways to make learning meaningful and fun, whether that means using hands-on activities, technology, or real-world examples.
